The smokeless tobacco association
was formed in the year 2007 (under the societies registration act) to
safeguard and promote the business operating under this category.

The rules and regulations are constituted by the managing committee of the STA with the assistance of The Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing & Processing Co-operative Limited, All India Katha Factories Association and other organizations including Tobacco Workers Association
and Employees Unions across the country. Many Vikreta Associations also
joined us in this collective action to provide quality smokeless
tobacco products in response to consumer demand in the markets.
